1. Sleep in a Glass Igloo
Yes, this actually exists. Nestled high above the Artic Circle, this resort has gorgeous glass igloos that you can stay in overnight! Can you imagine dozing off in a cozy, warm igloo as the northern lights dance overhead? Sounds like perfection to me.
2. Scuba Dive at the Great Barrier Reef
World-renowned for it’s scuba diving, Australia’s Great Barrier Reef has been somewhere that I’ve always wanted to visit. It is actually one of the seven wonders of the natural world and is known for it’s spectacular underwater views. Having never gone scuba diving before, I think this would be the perfect place to learn.
3. Run a Marathon
26.2 miles is no small accomplishment. I love running, and although I have never gone this far, it is certainly a goal that I would like to pursue in the future. Yes, in case you’re wondering, I am one of those people that enters races simply for the free t-shirt. So that would certainly be a bonus to consider.
4. Go Skydiving
I do realize that this is a cliché bucket list item, but it somehow seemed right to include it. This was one of the first things that I ever put on my list and I look forward to actually doing it someday. I can only imagine the pure adrenaline and the sense of complete freedom when you are surrounded by nothing but blue sky and clouds.
5. Learn to Skateboard
This one may seem a little strange, but I’m going to be honest and say this has long been a dream of mine. Not that I have to be able to do flips or anything, but I would love to say that I can successfully ride a skateboard without smashing into a wall. Not that I’m speaking from experience or anything…
6. Have a Bonfire on the Beach
Doesn’t this look like a scene from a movie? I can picture sitting huddled around a crackling fire with my close friends, maybe enjoying some s’mores and watching the stars as they sparkle above the ocean waves.
7. Be a Movie Extra
Being an extra in a movie has been a personal aspiration of mine for many years. In fact, last year when the Hunger Games was shooting in Atlanta, I submitted an application to be an extra. Unfortunately, I never received a callback, but I can certainly dream, can’t I?
8. Visit the Grand Canyon
I have so many friends and relatives who have returned with stories about this natural wonder. To see the beauty of nature, completely untouched by the modern world would be something truly incredible.
9. Go Zorbing
This is just one of those things that is completely ridiculous and completely awesome at the same time. Rolling around in a giant inflatable ball until my heart’s content? Count me in.
10. Go Tree Camping
Just one glance at this image and I am already starting to feel relaxed. I can only imagine the experience of watching the sun fade into the stunning panoramic horizon while peacefully reclining in a hanging tent. Not to mention that it’s in California, so there is no question that I’m going.
My bucket list is a never-ending project, and I find myself continually adding new things. These are just a few favorites, but you never know what other adventures are out there. What’s on your list?
Haha I also enter for the free t-shirt !
I totally agree – it’s always about the free t-shirt!
