It is finally Easter break, and I couldn’t think of any better way to spend my day off than by wandering through Georgetown for the afternoon.
Spring has finally arrived and the weather was absolutely beautiful, perfect for a day outside! My university only gives us such a short weekend for Easter, so it simply wasn’t practical for me to drive all the way back to Atlanta (imagine 16-20 hours of driving for just a day or two there), so an adventure to D.C. seemed like the perfect alternative!
Our first stop was Georgetown Cupcake, where we picked up a dozen beautiful flavors, including red velvet and chocolate lava fudge (personal favorites). They also have all of their spring cupcakes out, making it feel so festive for the cherry blossom season.
Long lines, but totally worth it for cupcakes.
Next, we visited the most adorable little market right in the heart of Georgetown.
I think I could have spent hours perusing all of the beautiful displays.
After that, it was definitely time for some macarons.
Our macaron choices included passionfruit, pink champagne, chocolate, rose, raspberry, and lemon. This was one of my first times trying macarons, and although they may not be my favorite, they are certainly beautiful to look at.
We finished off our day by wandering down to the riverwalk. We passed so many people biking, walking, taking photos, or simply enjoying the gorgeous sunshine.
I simply could not have asked for a better Easter break and I’m so thankful that I had the opportunity to spend it in a beautiful city with amazing friends!
Hello. excellent job. I did not imagine this. This is a splendid story. Thanks!
