New York City: The whirlwind, the hustle and bustle of the city streets, the magic of the skyscrapers sparkling in the night. From world-famous landmarks on every corner to the incredible food scene, I am always down for a visit to one of my favorite cities. I’ve been to New York City quite a few times now, but I still never fail to experience the magic and excitement every time I visit.
If you’re taking a visit anytime soon, here are some of my favorite Instagrammable photo spots that you definitely won’t want to miss.
Times Square
Although this is a classic tourist spot in NYC, that doesn’t make it any less beautiful! I highly recommend stopping by in the evening for some magical shots. This was the first time I’d shot photos there at night and I LOVED how they turned out!
NoMo SoHo
If you’re looking for a gorgeous hotel to stay at in NYC, I would highly recommend NoMo SoHo. However, even if you don’t stay there, it’s definitely still worth it to stop by and grab your shot in the #NoMoArchway. This gorgeous tunnel is covered in ivy and string lights, making it the perfect Insta op.

The Vessel (Hudson Yards)
This extraordinary centerpiece at Hudson Yards is definitely something that you’ll want to make a quick stop for! From the spiraling staircase to the 360 views and angles, The Vessel should definitely be on your photo bucket list when in New York City. Tickets are free to go inside, but have to be reserved ahead of time!

Pietro Nolita
This little Italian restaurant is tucked away on a quiet side-street, but definitely a pink gem if you happen to be in lower Manhattan. The inside is just as adorable as the outside with a delicious menu + drinks. Be prepared for a wait, for both food and/or photos – this is a poppin’ spot!
The Brooklyn Bridge
Another classic NYC-must. This suspension bridge crosses over the East River, connecting Manhattan and Brooklyn – but it’s also a great photo spot for views of the river and the cityscape. Just be careful if you decide to sit on the railing like I did!

The Oculus
Believe it or not, this is actually a terminal station located at the World Trade Center complex. While there’s not a lot to do here (minus shopping), if you’re in the area visiting the Freedom Tower, it’s a unique spot to snap a photo. It almost looks other-worldly, like something out of the future!
Top of the Rock
This incredible observation deck is located on top of the Rockefeller Center. After having done both the Empire State Building and Top of the Rock, and I would quickly say that this one has far better views and photos. Definitely have a friend get on the top level to shoot a top-down photo as well!

SERRA by Birreria
This STUNNING rooftop restaurant is located atop Eataly NYC Flatiron. It actually means “greenhouse” in Italian and changes with seasons. When we went, it was in full-bloom and covered in the most gorgeous flowers. While a bit pricey, the food was excellent and well worth it for the atmosphere.

The Flatiron Building
Street-shots are a must in NYC, and the Flatiron building makes a great backdrop. There’s also a great crosswalk right in front that makes it a prime location for an effortless walking pic!
Yellow Taxi Shot
While this isn’t a specific location, don’t forget to grab a classic NYC photo with the yellow taxis. These are EVERYWHERE, so it shouldn’t be difficult to find one to snap a quick shot with!

Washington Square Park
This beautiful park reminds me so much of Arc de Triomphe in Paris – just a little smaller and not in the middle of an insane traffic circle! This was such a pretty place to spend a few minutes relaxing and sitting by the fountain in the middle of the whirlwind of the city. Make sure to grab a pic by the arch!
Dumbo
If you’re looking for the iconic Dumbo photo with the Brooklyn Bridge in the background, the intersection of Washington Street and Water Street is where it’s at. Be warned – this area is INCREDIBLY crowded and cars drive down the street as well, so be prepared to spend some time waiting.
Street Shots
Don’t forget some of those fun street shots too – NYC has an incredible skyline and endless options for colorful, interesting streets!
Where are your favorite spots to take photos in New York City?
All your photos turned out gorgeous! I love your Times Square shot, the light is incredible there – much better than actual daylight haha.
During my trip I did take photos in some of these spots too – Brooklyn Bridge, Top of the Rock/the Empire State, with a yellow taxi, and so on. I also took a great picture in Bryant Park – I love the contrast between the greenery and the skyscrapers in the background. It is magical!

I usually prefer shooting in natural light, but I love the shots you got in the evening with the bright and colourful lights of NYC <3 The shot of your yellow outfit between the zooming taxis is perfect timing. You're killing allll your outfits, but I'm especially loving the one at the Oculus! -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s
