Hello friends!
I’m SO excited to share this incredible recipe with you on the blog today because it is honestly saving me SO much freaking money recently. Anyone who knows me KNOWS that I have a minor obsession with the Starbucks pink drink (which is basically just the Strawberry Acai Refresher with coconut milk instead of the water that they usually use). I never really liked Starbucks until I discovered this drink, because I’ve never been a massive coffee connoisseur. I used to always get Starbucks gift cards for birthdays or Christmas, but they always went into a giant stack in my closet because I never quite got into Starbucks for their actual coffee drinks.
Okay, well that’s a bit dramatic, but let me just say that I discovered a love for Starbucks that I have never experienced before. After that moment, I blew through all of those Starbucks gift cards that I had been hoarding for so long, and then when those ran out, I started spending actual money…which started getting expensive (can we talk about the outrageous price tag of $4 and some change for a couple sips?!). Anyways, I realized that something had to change after Starbucks sent me a gold card in the mail to reward me for all of my purchases and it dawned on me that I’ve probably bought more pink drinks than I originally gave myself credit for. So what better to do than try to re-create it myself?!
So I did.
It took a few tries, but I think I’ve found something that is pretty close to what Starbucks has and that tastes pretty darn good too. It doesn’t have any green tea in it, so if you absolutely need the little caffeine boost or want more of the green tea flavor, you can add green tea extract (which I’ve included as an optional ingredient in the recipe below). However, this drink takes only THREE ingredients (one of them being the freeze dried strawberries, which count as a garnish in my mind….so basically TWO ingredients).
You’ll be making these in no time for a ¼ of the price, which means you can have twice as many! It’s a win-win.
Start off with organic, unsweetened coconut milk. I love this coconut milk by So Delicious.
Next, buy any all-fruit (no sugar added) smoothie drink of your choice. Since the Starbucks Pink Drink is strawberry flavored, I went for a strawberry one. However, I have also used blueberry or mixed berry and I think I might even like them better!
Make sure you don’t forget the freeze-dried strawberries! Those are the finishing touch to the Starbucks version of the Pink Drink.
Next, add one part strawberry juice (around 1 cup).
And one part coconut milk (also around 1 cup).
Garnish with the strawberries. Give yourself the freedom to go overboard on them. 🙂
And then stir it or shake it up really well! Voila! You’ve got a perfect imitation Pink Drink for probably a QUARTER of the price!
**Side note: I don’t care much about the “green tea” aspect of the pink drink and didn’t really want to spend the extra money. However, if you want the green tea flavor and caffeine benefits, you can purchase green coffee bean extract in capsule form and add it to your drink. These can be purchased at either a health food store or Amazon sells them here.
Put a cute straw in it for some extra flair and enjoy!

You are so creative, girlie; what a great idea! I’ve never tried the drink before after I found out that there’s a bunch of additives and I’m super particular about trying to drink all natural/organic beverages. I’ll have to try this healthier alternative! Thanks for sharing and I hope you have a great day!
