  1. Cream butter and sugar together in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Add in eggs, vanilla, and sour cream.
  3. Slowly add all dry ingredients and mix well.
  4. Chill several hours, or until dough is set.
  5. Flour a large surface and roll out cookie dough (make sure not to roll too thinly).
  6. Cut out shapes and bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Do not overbake.
  7. Let the cookies cool and decorate with icing of choice.
