I’m all about baking any time of the year, but Christmas baking is by FAR my favorite. Today I’m bringing you my family’s TOP SECRET recipe for sugar cookies. These were passed down to my mom from her mom, and her mom, and so on.
I think the thing that makes these cookies so different is how FLUFFY and SOFT they are. They melt in your mouth, not too sweet, but sweet enough. Buttery, luxurious, and oh-so festive. I only ever make them this time of year, so they always get me in the Christmas mood.
Forget all those hard, crunchy Christmas cookies that remind you of a stale cracker. These will have all of your guests begging you for the recipe.
The secret to these is in the sour cream. If you’re like me, you probably hate sour cream on it’s own. However, when it’s baked into these cookies, it really creates all that extra magic that makes these to die for. You’ve JUST got to TRUST me on this one!
So whip out your cookie cutters that you forgot all about and grab some icing – it’s time to make some secret recipe Christmas cookies!
